About the organisation
[Describe the actual business, team and customers in two or three factual sentences.]
Role purpose
Maintain the configuration, access and operational reliability of loan origination systems through controlled changes and verified business requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain approved system configurations and documented ownership.
- Coordinate access requests with role permissions and authorising owners.
- Triage incidents and preserve useful diagnostic records.
- Test configuration changes with representative fictional cases.
- Plan release, rollback and communication steps for approved changes.
- Review recurring support issues and improve operational guidance.
Essential capabilities
- Loan origination or business systems administration experience.
- Understanding of access control and controlled release processes.
- Strong troubleshooting and clear technical documentation.
- Ability to translate operational requirements into testable configuration.
Useful experience
Origination system configuration · Role-based access · Release coordination. Keep these desirable rather than essential unless the work requires them on day one.
Working relationships
Origination, credit, security, vendors and support teams. Confirm the actual owners and handoff routes.
How to apply
[Application route, closing date, contact and any adjustment request process.]
We assess candidates against the role-relevant criteria and use a fictional work sample.
What good looks like.
Agree the pace, reviewer and measures with the person you hire.
Map configurations, access ownership and current incident patterns.
Deliver a tested approved change with release and rollback evidence.
Review reliability and resolve one recurring system support issue.
Look for evidence of the work.
Use these prompts to understand the candidate's judgement, accuracy and communication.
- How would you test an origination workflow change without affecting active applications?
- Describe a relevant piece of work, the checks you used and what you did when the instructions or evidence were incomplete.
- How would you organise competing deadlines, record your decisions and escalate a risk to the next handoff?
A practical work sample
Review a fictional change request and role-permission map. Prepare a configuration, test and rollback plan that keeps approval decisions with their owners.
Use fictional information and the same instructions for shortlisted applicants. Agree adjustments and timing beforehand. Score accuracy, reasoning, communication and appropriate escalation; this exercise should not produce live client work.
